The opportunity
Own the scope. Lead the delivery.
Method is looking for a project manager who understands concrete construction and takes responsibility for the whole package. You’ll partner with field leadership to plan the work, manage its commercial performance and keep owners, general contractors, design teams and city representatives informed. This Phoenix-based role combines office work with active project coordination in the field.
What you’ll do
- Take ownership of the awarded scope, contract requirements and estimate handoff; establish an execution plan with the superintendent and Method leadership.
- Manage budgets, commitments, cost-to-complete forecasts and progress billing. Track production against the estimate and address cost or schedule exposure early.
- Lead procurement and buyout within your authority, including supplier agreements, subcontract scopes, purchase orders and long-lead items.
- Plan concrete placement sequences and construction milestones with field leadership; keep look-ahead plans and actual-progress records aligned with the general contractor’s schedule.
- Coordinate foundations, walls and elevated decks, including formwork, shoring and reshoring, reinforcement, embeds and post-tensioning where applicable. Resolve technical questions with the responsible designers and specialty engineers.
- Serve as Method’s project contact for ownership, developers, owner representatives, general contractors, architects, structural engineers and other trades. Lead clear meetings, record decisions and close action items.
- Coordinate with city plan reviewers and inspectors, special inspectors and testing agencies, in partnership with the general contractor. Track approvals, inspection readiness, test results and outstanding items within Method’s scope.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions and change notices. Price and document changes promptly and communicate their field and commercial impacts.
- Support safe execution and quality control with the superintendent; confirm crews have current information, required inspections and a workable plan before placement.
- Carry the work through punch lists, record documents, final billing and closeout. Capture lessons that improve the next project.
What you bring
- Experience managing structural concrete work, with practical knowledge of cast-in-place construction and the coordination required to deliver it.
- Ability to read structural drawings and specifications and coordinate formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement and project interfaces.
- Working command of project budgets, scheduling, procurement, change management and construction documentation.
- Clear communication with owners, city representatives, design professionals and field crews; the judgment to escalate issues early and follow through.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, digital plan review and project-management tools, and the ability to work from the Phoenix office and visit project sites.
A plus, not a requirement
- High-rise structural concrete experience, including repetitive floor cycles and coordination on constrained urban sites.
- Experience with post-tensioned structures, podiums, parking structures and engineered shoring or reshoring systems.
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
