The opportunity

The finished work starts with your layout.

Method needs form setters who check their work before concrete makes it permanent. You’ll turn drawings and field layout into well-built forms, working with the foreman and placement crew to resolve conflicts and prepare a reliable pour.

What you’ll do

  • Read layout information and confirm dimensions, elevations, slopes and offsets with the foreman.
  • Measure, cut, assemble and set forms for the assigned foundations, slabs, walls, curbs or site concrete.
  • Install bracing and supports to the approved system or instructions; check alignment and stability before placement.
  • Coordinate openings, sleeves, embeds and adjacent work so conflicts are resolved before the pour.
  • Monitor forms during placement, report movement and strip forms only when authorized. Prepare materials for reuse.

What you bring

  • Practical concrete form-setting experience and confidence with measurements, levels and layout tools.
  • Ability to work from plans and field instructions and use hand and power tools safely.
  • Attention to accuracy, dependable attendance and the willingness to speak up when something does not fit.

A plus, not a requirement

  • Experience with both structural and site concrete, curves, drainage slopes or exposed concrete finishes.

On the jobsite

These are active outdoor jobsites in the Phoenix area, with heat, sun, noise, dust and moving equipment. Work involves standing, bending, kneeling, uneven ground and handling tools or materials as the task requires. Follow site safety and heat precautions, use required protective equipment and ask for assistance when needed. Start times follow the pour schedule; early starts and occasional overtime or weekends may be needed.
